Huey:
Soon our nation will pause and celebrate the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. We will reflect on his legacy and his wisdom. Who can forget when he said, “Violence against your fellow man is never the answer...unless you suspect your fellow man has a weapon that you yourself have but don’t want him to have, then you should bomb the bejeezus out of ’em!”

Huey:
Did you make any resolutions this year, Riley?

Riley:
Oh, f’sho...I’m going to take a more aggressive stance toward everything, break laws when it suits my agenda, and intimidate those weaker than me with brute force and threats of unimaginable pain, suffering and retribution. Plus, I think I’ll buy a gun or two.

Huey:
I can’t tell if my brother is becoming more of a thug or more of a Republican.

Riley:
...Oh, and I hate black people.

Caesar:
I saw this TV commercial that said buying drugs helps support terrorism. Think that’s true?

Huey:
I suppose... Of course, so does paying federal income taxes...

Caesar:
Probably best to avoid both, just to be safe...

Caesar:
Politics, politics, politics. Don’t you ever worry about anything else?

Huey:
And just what else should I be worried about?

Caesar:
Well, for starters, your moms is so stupid she sits on the television and watches the couch.

Huey:
I mean, I know I always said you should learn more about current events, but I never thought you would actually watch the news!

Riley:
So?

Huey:
So nobody was there to watch it with you. Nobody was there to filter out the truth from the propaganda. You left yourself open to be brainwashed.

Riley:
Ok, so here’s my question...Why don’t those lazy Iraqis quit blaming us for their problems and fix their own stupid country?

Huey:
“It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brushfires in people’s minds.” Samuel Adams said that.

Caesar:
Pretty deep for a guy who makes beer for a living.

Huey:
Seriously, I think it’s over for the Democrats. The right controls the news. The right controls the voting machines. The right controls the money. And what does the left control?

They seem to be pretty good at controlling their temper.

Caesar:
And the comics.

Jazmine:
I saw a suspicious-looking guy walking down our street the other day. I think he might have been a terrorist. I don’t know ... It’s hard to tell sometimes ... Maybe he was just “of terrorist descent.”

Jazmine:
See, Christmas is about how Santa died for our gifts and rose from the dead ...

Caesar:
Yeah ... Are you sure about that?

Jazmine:
And moved to the North Pole. And every year, Santa comes down to forgive our sins if we’ve been nice ...

Caesar:
See, that’s what I’ve been meaning to talk to you about ...

Jazmine:
... and punish the naughty and the nonbelievers with burning coals of hellfire!

Caesar:
Praise Santa, yessir.

Boy, I’m trying to write the blog on the Myspace, but I don’t know what to write.

Huey:
You write about things you did or how you feel.

Pause; then Granddad types:

Dear Blog,
Mind your own #$%*@#* business.
