Party Punches

The Morris County Extension office and the adjacent Soil Conservation office were convivial places. I remember there were frequent office parties and cook outs in addition to get togethers with family and friends. Here are two punch recipes Dad developed for parties.

Carl's Office Party Punch

Mix together:

• 1 quart Chablis
• 1 quart Vodka
• 12 ounces lime concentrate
• 6 ounces grapefruit concentrate
• 6 ounces orange concentrate
• 3 quarts soda (ginger ale)
• 36 ounces water

Volcano Punch

Mom said this card is in her writing, but it is probably Dad's recipe. Carol thinks it was inspired by their trip to Hawaii in 1975 or 1976

• (vodka optional)
• 3 quarts pineapple juice
• 2 cans (60 ounces) frozen limeade
• 2 quarts ginger ale, chilled
• 2 pints mandarin orange sorbet

Mix juice and limeade in bowl. Just before serving add ginger ale and scoops of sorbet. Garnish with berries, pineapple chunks or orange slices.
