Gramma Moore's Cole Slaw

Gramma is Martha Moore, Grace's mother. This is how you know it's summer. Carol says Gramma swore by A&P mayo, but any store brand will do. I think Gramma used cider vinegar. Carol suggests white balsamic vinegar, which is fruitier and less harsh than dark balsamic.

• 1 teaspoon salt,
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1 1/2 teaspoon vinegar
• A&P mayo, enough to blend in
• 1 head cabbage, shredded
