Clam Chowder

From Gramma Jeffs, 1941. Is it really chowder with canned soup? Don't know, but I've got to experiment with the bacon.

All vegetables cut up, diced, very good.

  • 1/4 pound Bacon
  • 2 quarts Water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 cups carrots
  • 2 cups celery
  • 2 cups onions
  • 2 cup potatoes
  • tomato soup, condensed
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • clams and juice
  • Flour paste
