Golden Pineapple Cookies

From "Mrs. Gernert," that is Aunt Margaret's mother-in-law, May.

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can pineapple (crushed and drained)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Salt [no measurement given; I'd leave it out]
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Drop from teaspoon.

From other cookie recipes, I would bake these at 350°F for 15–20 minutes.
