Ginger Cookies

One of my favorite cookies!

  • 2/3 cup Wesson oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for dip

Heat oven to 350°F. Mix oil and sugar thoroughly. Add egg and beat. Add molasses. Sift dry ingredients and add. Mix well. Form into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated sugar. Place on cookie sheet about 3 inches apart. Bake about 15 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
