Apple Cake and Pudding Topping

Combine

• 4 cups apples, sliced
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 cup oil
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 cup chopped nuts

Sift together

• 2 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons soda
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 3/4 teaspoon salt

Add dry ingredients to the first mixture. Pour into a greased oblong pan. Bake at 350°F for 50 minutes to an hour.

Topping

• 1 1/2 cups milk
• 1 box instant vanilla pudding
• 1 package dream whip

Beat about 5 minutes.

Dream Whip is a powdered mix that calls for 1 1/2 cups milk and a teaspoon of vanilla. This recipe uses vanilla pudding mix instead of vanilla extract, which would lead to a thicker result. I would probably just use whipped cream.
