Ginger Snaps

  • 2 cups molasses (heated)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 3 1/2 cups flour

The book says: "Beat soda into warm molasses, add flour enough to roll very thin."

Great-Grammy clarifies, "Add the sugar, butter and ginger to the molasses, then the baking soda. If you don't have cookie cutters, grease the rim of a drinking glass and use it to cut out cookies. I bake these at 325°F for 8 to 10 minutes. Be careful not to overcook them."
