Celtic knotwork square KLOTZ FAMILY RECIPES: FAMILY MEMORIES

Bits of Family History

As I was putting the recipes together, I realized that the younger generations might want some more explanation about the people behind the recipes. I started by writing short notes explaining the family connections. Those are collected in two pages, one about the women on my mother's side of the family, whose recipes appear in Aunt Averil's Book, and one about the women of my father's family, whose recipes appear in Aunt Sue's folder. Of course, both sides show up in the family section of Grace's box.

But all these people deserve more than short notes, and as I worked through my mother's papers, I found other bits and pieces that need to be passed on. Included here are some memoirs, newspaper articles and obituaries. This is nowhere near complete, but I am still working through stuff and figuring out how best to pass it along. Some of Edith Klotz's albums have already gone to the lake, and no doubt other things will follow.

Family who are interested in the genealogy, cookbooks, pictures and other memorabilia, please let me know.
