Aunt Margaret’s Layered Noodle Bake

Margaret Gernert was Gramma Moore's sister.

Blend cream cheese, cottage cheese and sour cream. Set aside.

In skillet, brown beef, onion, and green pepper in 1 tablespoon butter, stirring to separate meat particles.

Stir in tomato sauce and ½ teaspoon salt.

Cook 5 to 6 minutes and drain noodles in colander.

In 2-quart casserole, put a layer of noodles, cover with cheese mixture, then a layer of noodles, cover with meat mixture, repeat.

Pour melted butter over the casserole. Top with cheese.

Bake at 325º about 40 to 50 minutes, until bubbling and nicely browned.
