Raisin Bars


The card looks like Gramma Moore's handwriting, but Mom doesn't remember Gramma making these. She thinks the recipe is from Liz Elgarten.


Filling

Mix well. Cook slowly, stirring until thick. Cool.

Dough

Cream butter and sugar, add dry ingredients, then oats.

Press ½ mix in a 13 x 9 pan spread with filling, pat on remaining crust with back of spoon.

Bake at 400º for 20–30 minutes. Cool, cut in squares.
