Walnut Pie


Grace's note says, "“Quick and easily prepared dessert." It is a walnut crust for an ice cream pie.


Mix together the nuts and sugar. Add the butter. Press into a 9-inch pie pan. Bake at 400º for 8 to 10 minutes.

Fill with 1 quart pistachio ice cream and put into freezer. Serve with chocolate or fudge sauce or whipped cream.

Alternatives

Chocolate ice box wafers can be used as a shell.

Butter pecan ice cream can be used instead of pistachio [or any other flavor].
