Noodle Casserole


From the Extension office. "Noodles" likely means egg noodles, as in Aunt Margaret's Layered Noodle Bake. "Store cheese" probably means sliced American cheese. Classic middle 20th-century suburban delicacy! Those who turn up their noses at condensed soup hot dishes can make lasagne instead: Festive or Mrs. Bottone's


Grease a 1½ to 2-quart casserole dish. Spread half the sliced onions on the bottom, then half the hamburger, then half the noodles. Repeat. Pour the soup over it all. Cover the top with cheese. Bake at 375º for 45 minutes.
